Ghana’s Don Ice Announces New Name and New Single

 


Ghana’s fast rising musician Sadat M Ali-Ice  formerly known as Don Ice, has changed his name to Ali Ice. The artiste made this known to the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity following the release of a new single titled ‘Anointing’.

Ali Ice is a versatile artiste who can sing in five languages which comprises of English, Hausa, Yoruba, Twi, and Ga.

He picked up these languages easily as a result of his nationalities and upbringing. His parents are from Ghana and Nigeria and he experienced life across the length and breadth of both countries during his formative years but currently lives in Accra Ghana.

The versatile artiste delivers most of his lyrics in the reggae/dancehall, RnB and Afro pop genre. His creative music style combines engaging stories with sweet melodies that is timeless to listeners.

Ali Ice finds inspiration from Bob Marley, Peter Toch, Fela, Kojo Antwi, 2pac, Tarrus Riley, Busy Signal, Chronix, Buju Banton and Burna Boy.

Ali Ice first made a grand entrance into the Ghanaian music scene in 2010 when he released his first single titled "One Night Stand" ft Chymny Crane. This was followed by a 2011 release titled ‘Baby Girl’ but he would go off music to focus on film and documentary productions which would see him go round the country with seasoned film and documentary producers from across West Africa.  

Asked why he decided to bounce back, the artiste disclose to Elabor BizTV in an exclusive interview that he decided to come back because he is passionate about music.

The artiste says he hopes to work with the likes of Stone Bwoy, Shatta Wale and Samini amongst others in the nearest feature. His song is available for free download across many social media platforms like audiomack.com and YouTube.
