1 - Shatta Wale gets G-WAGON Birthday gift from EIB Boss


In October 2017, EIB boss Bola Ray and business partner Dr. Duffour Jnr. surprised the popular singer with a brand new G -Wagon for his birthday.

Overwhelmed Shatta, took to social media to express his joy and appreciation: In the photos he shared he captioned it,

2 - Fan gifts Shatta Wale a new Toyota Highlander


In January 2018, social media was flooded with news of a brand new Toyota Highlander gifted to Shatt Wale by the CEO of MaddHaus Entertainment, Livingstone Abani.

The car was presented to Shatta Wale at his premises after he had been promised by the Chief Executive to surprise him.

Receiving the car, Shatta Wale indicated that people who don’t believe that things are happening in his life should start believing and have faith in God.

He also took to social media to express his appreciation to God and all who have supported him to rise as an artiste saying “NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE WAYS OF GOD”.

3 - Shatta Wale receives a brand new Benz car as a birthday gift


Still in 2018, the Self-acclaim Dancehall King Shatta Wale was said to have gotten a brand new Mercedes Benz car gift for his 34th birthday. The gift was said to have come from one of his loyal fans.

In a video posted online, Shatta is seen flaunting the new car whiles mentioning the name of one of his loyalist known as Kwesi Fynn. However, though he kept mentioning that name in the video, industry expert believe that alone was no confirmation that the new car was a gift from Kwesi Fynn.

4 - Shatta Wale gifted 2019 Range Rover for his birthday


In 2019, during Shatta Wale’s 35th birthday celebration the musician announced that he was gifted a 2019 Range Rover by his Godfather.

It was however unclear, who exactly the musician was referring to as his Godfather because he didn’t disclosed the person's name.

He shared a photo of himself sitting on the car and wrote “2019 Range Rover birthday gift from my Godfada ..Help say thank you to him for me ..This one is too much for me .. Now dierrrr more Pah Pah Pah”


5 Shatta Wale gets new Dodge Charger Car Award


Though not a gift, but in 2017  Shatta Wale became the owner of a brand new Dodge Charger which came with his award as the “Celebrity of the Year” at the 2017 People's Celebrity Awards, held on Saturday 30 December 2017  by GN Bank.  

However, due to circumstance beyond the control of the organizers, the artiste would receive the car in 2019. The car was handed over to the dancehall artiste in a short ceremony at the Coconut Groove Hotel, Accra.

Zylofon Media, The record label of Wale at the time, even took to their Instagram page to share a video of the posh car received by Shatta Wale.

1 - TV Host Serwaa Amihere gets a Range Rover


TV broadcaster Serwaa Amihere marked her 30th birthday on Sunday, March 8, 2020.

 During the celebration, the broadcaster who works with GHOne TV was said to have arrived her party, in a fresh Range Rover Sports 2020 edition believed to be a gift from musician King Promise.

The car which was captured by Ronnie is everywhere and shared on instagram had the caption, See Serwaa Amihere flaunting her new Range Rover Sports (2020 Edition) at her birthday


2 - Shatta Michy gets Jeep Wrangler as birthday gift


Shortly before celebrating her 26th birthday which happened on May 6, 2020 musician and Shatta Wale’s baby mama Michelle Diamond aka Shatta Michy received a pre birthday brand new Jeep Wrangler gift believed to be from Shatta Wale.

Michy, who has a child with the controversial artiste, revealed on social media that she has received the best birthday gift one could wish for, a brand new Jeep Wrangler a week to her birthday.

While flaunting the car on instagram, the singer shared a caption with her post saying, early birthday gift thank you somebody, but she however kept the person’s identity secret.

3 - Nana Aba gets Brand New Range Rover as Birthday gift


On June 19, 2020, renowned Ghanaian broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah turned 42, and as she marked her new age, it turned out to be a big event as she was suprised with a brand new range rover as a gift.

The car was driven to her GhOneTV workplace, with colleague workers coming out to celebrate with her. However, it’s unclear who gave it to her.

The video post shows Nana Aba’s reactions when the car was driven into the premises of GhOne TV.

 

4 - Hajia4Real gets Range Rover and House for Birthday


On Saturday, June 27, 2020 popular Ghanaian celebrity, Hajia4Real celebrated her birthday and as expected, she received many gifts from friends and family. Of the many things Hajia4Real received, was the gift of range rover and a new house in Trassaco.

In an Instagram video, the CEO of 4Real Kids was absolutely buzzing as she rejoiced over the expensive gifts.

5 - Emelia Brobbey buys car for her mum on Mother’s Day


Unlike other ladies who received car presents on their birthdays, Kumawood actress and singer Emelia Brobbey rather than receive decided to gift her mother a brand new car. This she did during mother’s day celebration which happened on Sunday, May 10, 2020.

She reportedly took to social media to show the world the brand new red-coloured Hyundai Sonata car she bought for her mum.  According to sources, Emelia presented the car to her mother as a special birthday and Mother’s Day gift.

In photos sighted online, Emelia is seen with her mother dressed in white lace materials and the actress was full of smiles as she made the presentation.

10 Ghanaian Celeb who want to be president of Ghana (Video)

 

Some celebrities in Ghana have expressed their desire to contest for the presidency in the future. Some have made moves, some studying towards the ultimate goal while others are still in their passion nursing stage.

It’s not known who among them would eventually succeed, but in this article we bring you the  10 Ghanaian celebrities who want to become president of Ghana someday

1 John Dumelo

In 2016 Ghanaian actor John Dumelo disclosed his ambition to become the president of Ghana. He made this statement while addressing party faithful's and some big wigs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Hohoe when he joined them for the 'Walk for Mahama' health walk.

The actor who is a strong member of the NDC has actually kick started his political dream, first as a Youth Leader during his campaign for Mahama in 2016 and now as a parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency for the 2020 election.

It is on history that four people named John, that John Mahama, John Evans Atta Mills, John Agyekun Kuffor and Jerry John Rawlings, have ruled the country so far and John Dumelo might just be the fifth John someday.


2 Yvonne Nelson


In 2019, Ghanaian actress and film producer, Yvonne Nelson, disclosed that she may consider playing an active role in politics and will not rule out the possibility of being the first female president of the country.

Ms Nelson, made this known on Class91.3FM’s Touch of Class, where she had gone to talk about her movie titled ‘Fix Us’, which was set for premiere at the time.

Ms Nelson, who produced ‘Single and Married’ in 2012 and ‘House of Gold’ in 2013 articulated that she loves human rights and gender activism as well as tourism. For her, she would like to play an active role in the tourism sector and would not mind spearheading a tourism campaign.

Asked by the host if she was looking at being a Tourism Minister by 2028, she retorted: “I don’t know, maybe the President, you never know, the first female president of Ghana…God just…you know…he is guiding me so I am taking it slow”.

According to her, part of her preparation is getting a Masters Degree in International Relations which she believes would help her to tackle certain societal issues.

It can be recalled that in 2016, the actress led a group of people to embark on a ’dumsor’ vigil to protest against a prolonged light off crisis that created hardship for a lot of Ghanaians.

 That campaign got her featured on BBC where she was nicknamed the ’Yaa Asantewaa’ of our time.

3 Shatta Wale

In 2019 Popular Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale revealed that he habours plans to stand for Ghana’s presidency.

In a video posted online, the self-proclaim king of African dancehall, expressed his interest in becoming the president in 2020.  In the video, Shatta Wale is seen telling some of his fans while driving past them "I beg next year I will stand for president so you people should vote for me,".

This is however, not the first time Shatta Wale has made known his presidential ambition as he has said that on several occasions.

It is not known if the 'Gringo' hitmaker is really serious about getting into politics or if he is just making fun., which is not unusual of the pah pah pah artiste.


4 King George

Young actor Desmond Ohene Twum Danso Sakyi known as Chief or King George of famous youth series, Yolo, in 2019, revealed his intentions to vie for the presidency after John Dumelo succeeded in winning the ticket to contest as a parliamentary candidate under the NDC for the Ayawaso constituency.

King George further disclosed that he is eyeing the seat in 2032. Although he is not affiliated to any political party yet, but he sure has more years ahead of him to make plans for the position come 2032.

5 James Gardner


Still in 2019, Ghanaian actor, voice-over artist, radio and TV presenter, James Gardiner, revealed that he also has the dream to become the president.

Dressed in a well-tailored African design to the 2019 Glitz Awards, James Gardiner took to Instagram to let out his mind about his new look and he wrote:  “Vote for me make I chop President! Last night at the 2019 Glitz Style Awards.”

Some industry expert claimed that this move may have been motivated by John Dumelo who had earlier on expressed his intension to grab the highly revered position.

Nevertheless, comments seen beneath his post showed that he is already getting support from some of his industry colleagues.

6 Maame Serwaa

Still in 2019, Young Ghanaian actress, Maame Serwaa announced her ambition to be a president someday. The actress disclosed her biggest dream in an exclusive interview with Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’.

Maame Serwaa, known in private life as Clara Benson said she has a lot of plans but becoming a president will be a dream come through if her other careers fail.

She stated that she has the country at heart and she would serve well when she gets the opportunity, but she is yet to name a political party of her choice.


7 Fuse ODG

Ghanaian musician Nana Richard Abiona aka fuse ODG also expressed his presidential capability after he insinuated that he can run Ghana better than the president Nana Dankwa Akufor Addo who came into power in 2016.

According to the UK-based singer and songwriter,he made the statement after a Twitter user blasted him for suggesting that prostitution should be legalized in Ghana.

The twitter user identified as Nana Kwame Acheampong wrote:

“How will the nation develop with such people like @FuseODG living in it.”

In his response the musician wrote: “I promise you I can run Ghana better than the current president! Don’t let these fake headlines fool u! Be open-minded! As you were.”

It is however not known if the musician will be motivated enough to venture into the Ghanaian politics like fellow celebrity John Dumelo.

8 Mzbel

Ghanaian musician and businesswoman, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah aka Mzbel  in 2020 disclosed that if given the opportunity to rule the country, she can transform Ghana in just a year.

According to the singer, because she is a mother and knows how to manage her home and business, she would use the same strategy to transform the sinking fortunes of her country Ghana.

Speaking in a Happy FM interview in Accra, the 16 years hitmaker added that Even the way she manages her restaurant efficiently is a testament to the fact that she can run the country well if she became the president.

Interestingly, the singer revealed that apart from her, fellow musician Shatta Wale

 is the only individual she can vouch for to lead Ghana from the entertainment space. Speaking further she said,  “Shatta is very real and openly says whatever is on his mind. Shatta is real and whatever he does is not acting, unlike other musicians”.

9 Sarkodie


Still in 2020, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie sparked a national debate when he hinted that he might be running for Ghana’s presidency in the near future, precisely 2024.

This comes after his icon, American musician Kanye West announced that he is running for the 2020 elections in America.

In a tweet to his fans in July 2020, he posted pictures of himself and asked fans if he should contest in 2024 elections. He wrote: “Presidential candidate 2024 Anaa mo se?” he captioned the pictures.

 The tweet attracted mixed reactions from followers. While fans show support, others said he is just a copycat. While some others remind him he could not manage artistes he had on his label and that he should forget it.

10 Princess Shingles

Although not a Ghanaian but actress Princess Shyngle who resides in Ghana has professed interest in becoming a president of her country Gambia very soon.  According to her post on Instagram, she revealed that she dreams of becoming the sexiest president of her home country and believes her dream will definitely come true.

This post came as a surprise to many of her followers since she has shown no interests in political issues prior to the post.
