Three Nigerian men, woman arrested in India for duping people through fake lottery

Officers of the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch have arrested three Nigerian nationals and a local woman for duping people to the tune of over one crore rupees in fake lottery schemes.

The accused have been identified as Nigerian IT engineer, Suleiman Lawal (62) alias Benjamin, his Indian wife Bandana Chhetri alias Niki Anjali Gupta (43) Ugochukwu Usifo alias Brown Bruno (32), and Ichaba Lucky Igele (41)

Bobrisky claps back at Uche Maduagwu after he accused him of frightening children

Car thief surrenders to police after mysterious attack by spiritual bees in Kenya (Photo)

A suspected car thief on Monday ran into a police station and surrendered himself after he was attacked by a spiritual swarm of bees in Kenya.

According to Nairobi News, Mr. Francis Sikadigu, a middle-aged Ugandan, had allegedly drugged the car owner before driving off to an unknown destination.
It was learned that after he had stolen the vehicle on Friday, a witchdoctor who was consulted performed a ritual to punish and make him return the car.

Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend reportedly 5 months pregnant

Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend of 8 months are reportedly expecting their first child together. Georgina Rodríguez, 22, is reportedly 5 months pregnant and she looked very pregnant as she and her 32 year old beau stepped out recently.

Sources told a Portuguese newspaper: 'They are very happy with the arrival of the baby. Everyone adores Georgina and are satisfied with this relationship.'

A suspected kidnappers and ritualists den was discovered few buildings away from the Ondo state House of Assembly complex at Algbaka area in Akure, the state capital today June 26th.

The two storey building is situated behind the popular government-owned events centre, the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade.

Family of Philando Castile, man fatally shot by police in 2016 has agreed to a $3M settlement

The mother Philando Castile, the black motorist shot by a suburban Minneapolis police officer a year ago, agreed to a $2.995 million settlement with the city of St. Anthony.

According to a statement issued by the city and the family's lawyers, Valerie Castile will be paid with insurance funds, and "no taxpayer monies" will be involved.

Olympic runner Alysia Montaño on Thursday raced at the U.S.A. Track & Field Outdoor Championships  in Sacramento while she was five months pregnant, in 100-degree heat - and she beat her time for the last Championship she raced while also pregnant.

Belgian court finds 8 Arab princesses guilty of trafficking and abuse

Eight princesses from Abu Dhabi's ruling al-Nahyan family were each given a 15-month suspended prison sentence and fined 165,000 euros ($185,000) on Friday after a court in Belgium found them guilty of human trafficking and abusing their servants.
The case dates back to July 2008, when Princess Shekha Alnehayan,  and her seven daughters rented an entire floor of Brussels' Conrad Hotel for several months and brought more than 20 servants with them.

FIFA bans Ghanaian footballer, Samuel Inkoom for one year

Ghanaian defender, Samuel Inkoom who currently plays for Bulgarian club FC Vereya, has been banned by FIFA for one year for failing to settle the total outstanding amount owed to his former agent Andy Evans.
Following a contractual dispute between both parties, the 28-year-old was ordered by the Bureau of the Players’ Status Committee on 19 March 2014 to pay an amount owed to Evans.

Tanzania President ban teenage mothers from going back to school

Tanzania’s President John Magufuli has placed a ban restricting school girls who get impregnated from going back to school. The President made this known while addressing Bagamoyo District residents during his three-day-tour of Coast Region on Thursday.
Magufuli accused some of the nongovernmental organisations (NGOs), which have been urging the Tanzanian government to allow teen mothers back to school, of being used by foreign agents.

Nigeria's Minister of health wants tobacco law that bans smoking in bars and restaurants enforced

Nigeria's minister of health, Isaac Adewole, has written to the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Nigeria Police Force over the enforcement of the 2015 National Tobacco Control Act. 
In the letter, Mr. Adewole requested for their collaboration in the enforcement of the law saying:
'It has become imperative to strengthen our collaborative efforts and to urgently start implementing and enforcing the provisions of the NTC Act 2015 in order to protect and promote the health of the citizens'.

Intelligence cooperation among West Africa Police Services ensured arrest of Evans - IGP

The Inspector General of Police,  Ibrahim Idris, has attributed the arrest of Chukwujeme Onwamadike, the suspected kidnapper popularly known as Evans, to information sharing and intelligence cooperation among police services in West Africa.
 "Information sharing is crucial to tackling the menace of trans-border crimes in West Africa; it is through such exchange that we were able to nab a Ghanaian/Nigerian kidnapper two weeks ago, after evading arrest for many years,” Idris said on Wednesday.

Two friends kill a crocodile in Akwa Ibom, after a long bloody battle

One man was seriously injured after he and a friend tried to kill a crocodile or pperhaps, an alligator, they saw in a riverine and swampy area in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
It was gathered that the reptile was so strong that it battled its captor, leaving one injured. They later killed the animal and are considering selling some parts of it,  then use the rest to make pepper soup.

South African Hawks arrest 7 suspects including two women with explosives worth about R3.7-million

Man bags 2 years in prison 'after dangling baby from 15th-floor window and writing on Facebook "1,000 likes or I'll drop him"

An Algerian Court has sentenced a man to two years in prison for dangling a baby out of a 15th floor window in order to generate "likes" on Facebook.
The man posted a sickening picture of himself holding a baby out of a window in what appeared to be a high-rise building with the caption: "1,000 likes or I will drop him."
After social media users demanded his arrest for child abuse, he was arrested on Sunday and charged with endangering the baby's safety.

Police arrest three suspected kidnappers, rescue victim from a forest in Imo State

Nigerian-Turkish school kidnappers arraigned in court

The Nigerian Police Force on Tuesday arraigned suspected kidnappers of students and staff of Nigerian-Turkish International College (NTIC) Isheri, Ogun State, before the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The notorious kidnappers who were later caught after the operation, stormed the College on January 13, 2017, and abducted eight students and two staff of the NTIC.
