The remains of Hajiya Jummai Abubakar, wife to Nigeria's first prime minister, late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, has been laid to rest.
Hajiya Jummai who died in a Lagos hospital yesterday October 27th, was buried at the Bauchi Central Cemetery in Bauchi State today October 28th.
The Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Mallam Bala Baba-Inna, presided over her funeral prayers which took place at the Palace of the Emir of Bauchi with Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state and other dignitaries in attendance.
Hajiya Jummai is survived by eight children and many grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
