MMA fighter Conor McGregor has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief after he launched an attack on a bus full of rival fighters.
The attack took place at a UFC press event in Brooklyn on Thursday, the New York Police Department has said.
The 29-year-old, who became the first UFC fighter to hold two world titles simultaneously, can be seen in a video footage as he entered with his entourage, then picked up a pushcart and hurled it at his rivals' bus after UFC 223 media day at Barclays Center in New York City.

The attack left two fighters injured. UFC lightweight Michael Chiesa suffered a laceration to his face and, as a result, was forced to pull from Saturday's UFC 223. Flyweight Ray Borg suffered "multiple cornea abrasions" and will also not be taking part in his fight against Brandon Moreno.

Connor McGregor was scheduled to lose his UFC lightweight belt on Saturday to the winner of the title bout between Max Holloway and Khabib Nurmagomedov, the latter of whom appeared to be the target of McGregor's attack.

The Irishman turned himself in to police on Thursday evening shortly after the attack.
"He's been charged with assault, three counts of assault, and one count of criminal mischief," Thomas Antonetti of the NYPD said today.
"He's still in custody, still at the police precinct until he's removed to court this morning."

He added that 25-year-old Cian Cowley, also a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, from Hyde Park, Dalkey, has been charged with assault.
