Robbers snatch $2m and not $15m at South Africa airport

Contrary to our earlier post that some robbers in South Africa made away with $15 million which was about to be loaded onto an aircraft bound for London, fresh reports indicates that the true amount is  R24 million or about US$2m. read here
News24 reports that the money was stolen from a plane at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday evening.
Its spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi said there was a high level investigation into the robbery. He however declined to give out further information.
Airports Company South Africa spokesperson Trevor Jones said there had been a robbery, but he could not confirm the amount of money stolen.
Nonetheless the story making rounds is that after SAA flight 294 landed, people in a marked police vehicle intercepted the money. A white Mercedes-Benz is believed to have been used in the operation.
