American professional boxer, Errol Spence is reportedly in a ‘serious condition’ in a hospital after flipping his Ferrari in a horrific high-speed crash in Dallas.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m. (Oct. 10) on Riverfront Boulevard near I-30 near downtown and involved one vehicle.

Dallas Police said the world welterweight champion was thrown out of the vehicle during the crash.

According to the authorities, the vehicle was going at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes in the 500 block of S. Riverfront Boulevard. The vehicle went over the center median and flipped multiple times, ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Police added the driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition and is expected to survive.

A Dallas Police statement said: “At 2:53am a Ferrari traveling at a high rate of speed northbound in the 500 S. Riverfront Blvd.
"The Ferrari veered left over the center median onto the southbound lanes and flipped multiple times ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.”

Police are investigating what exactly caused the crash.

Spence, a welterweight champion from DeSoto, is currently 26-0 in his professional career. He made his professional debut in November 2012 and won the IBF welterweight title in May 2017.
