The newly released iphone 11 by apple is
gradually beginning to create a new class among African celebrities especially
throwing light on never broke celebs.
In Nigeria, music producer and founder
of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, finally joined the league of iphone 11 Pro Max
owners, after doling out about N600,000, an amount most Nigerians would
consider extravagant.
The music genius showed off his brand
new purchase on social media and announced that he has finally bought the
phone.
Apple offers the smartphone for $699,
$749, and $849 for the 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models respectively.
Still in Nigeria, actress Tonto Dikeh
may have been the one most crazy about laying her hands on the iphone 11 pro max even before it landed in
Nigeria.
Before buying the phone, the actress
posted a video of her fiddling with this ABC phone and beside it was the
caption: My camera life just became more fun, #SA80 #NewIn #IPhone11loading.
Not long, news of her becoming the
latest Nigerian celebrity to buy the iphone11 hit online.
The actress also shared photo of the phone on her instagram
page. While flaunting the phone, Tonto said she bought three, one for herself, one
for her dad and one for her best friend, Bobrisky adding that she bought the
phone, with her own money.
In a video she posted on her page she said “There’s really
nothing special about the phone. Don’t hustle. Don’t sleep with 100 men to get
this phone. I swear to God, I just bought it with my own money. Girls don’t
kill yourself. It’s just a phone.”
Her friend Bobrisky also posted this after receiving the gift. @tontolet
I love you. She just bought me latest iPhone 11. I bless the day we became
friends. Wat ? I’m still shocked. Guys go and thank @tontolet for me. iPhone
11. Is good to have rich friends.
In Ghana, TV presenter and Lawyer, Sandra
Ankobia became the first Ghanaian celebrity to acquire the iPhone 11 pro max.
According to her, she had to join a long
queue at the United Arab Emirate- Dubai just to be one of the first to have a
feel of the smart phone.
Interestingly, Dubai-based Sulaiman Kazhunthammal
from India is the first person to purchase the iPhone 11 Pro from the Apple
Store at Dubai Mall on 20th September, 2019. Meanwhile ahead of the launch of
Apple’s new iPhone on Thursday night, scores of customers were seen patiently waiting for the doors to
open thus corroborating Ankobia’s claims that she had to join a long queue
before getting the phone.
