The CMU student accused of killing his parents in his dorm room ruled incompetent to stand trial
The student of Central Michigan University, who killed his parents when they showed up at his dorm room to pick him up for spring break, will not go to trial, it has now been revealed.

On March 2, James E. Davis Jr. shot and killed his police officer father, James Eric Davis Sr., 48, and his flight attendant mother, Diva Davis, 47, after which he fled the scene.

Police later found him around railroad tracks near the school's campus after a 16-hour manhunt.

CMU Police Chief William Yeagley said Davis was found “cold …hypothermic and not making sense”. He was admitted to a hospital under police supervision.

Following the double murder, James Jr. was charged with two counts of open murder and a firearm violation. However, it is now being reported that he has been found incompetent to stand trial.  He will receive treatment until he is able to stand trial.
