Pippa Middleton was photographed stepping out for the first time since her father-in-law was arrested in an airport in Paris and charged to court for the rape of a 15-year-old girl years ago.
Pippa, who became popular when she served as the chief bridesmaid at the wedding of her sister Kate Middleton to Prince William, was seen out and about in London yesterday locking up a bicycle and taking off a cycle helmet, as she stepped out wearing a light grey coat and dark trousers.
Her outing comes amid allegations that her multi-millionaire businessman father-in-law, David Matthews, 74, raped two women. One alleged that he raped her between 1998 and 1999 when she was 15 and he was in his fifties. A second woman, who is believed to be a former family friend, also came forward to say that he raped her in the1980s.
Mr Matthews has strenuously denied the allegations against him.
