Lauretta Onochie rejoices as serving senator Peter Nwaoboshi is sent to prison, says he is a self-confessed thief

Earlier today, a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos remanded serving senator, Peter Nwaoboshi, in Ikoyi prison for allegedly committing N805 million fraud. Nwaoboshi represents Delta-North senatorial district where presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie comes from.

In a post she shared on her Facebook wall, Onochie expressed delight at the news of the senator's incarceration. She wrote

''BREAKING NEWS: 
?COURT SENDS MY SENATOR, PETER NWAOBOSHI TO PRISON?

"I am a thief. There's no way the loot is shared without the thief getting a fair portion. Whatever gets to my hand is mine. Once I have looted to my satisfaction, if anything is left, I will give to my extended family, Isieke. If it remains, then it will be given to the people of Igbuzo. If there's more, then others can get."

? I was at an event when he made the above statement in our Anioma language. My stomach churned when he was handed an award after confessing publicly to being a thief. A self-Confessed thief receiving an award!

? But today, the court is holding him accountable for some of his pilfering and looting against Anioma and Delta people.

? Keep him in. He has not represented Anioma people. He has represented himself. May he be brought to justice. We will elect another Senator.
